Mid-City Entrepreneurs

The Mid-City Entrepreneurs program strives to amplify the voices of San Diego’s most impacted and underserved youth by empowering them to tell their stories through the creation of art businesses that reflect their cultures, communities, and experiences. This program trains youth in Mid-City San Diego to make art on program provided tablets, turn that art into branded merchandise like t-shirts and mugs, and sell it through their online stores. MCCM's merchandise partner prints and ships the products directly to customers with no upfront costs to the students. Participants learn valuable design, marketing, and finance skills that will stay with them wherever their careers take them.

37ECB Entrepreneurs

Since 2017 MCCM has provided arts and music programming at 37ECB, a San Diego County Juvenile Court and Community School serving students in Mid-City San Diego.

Recently, with the support of the California Arts Council we expanded our programming there with Mid-City Entrepreneurs. This program guides them through the process of building e-commerce businesses based on their original works of art that tell their stories and represent their communities.

All proceeds from purchases in these student's online stores goes directly to the student entrepreneurs! View more stores below.
